Chris GALE

Chris grew up in and around the competitive martial arts scene in Melbourne, Australia. He competed in martial arts until the age of 21, during which time he began supplementing his training with CrossFit to improve his fitness. After a year, CrossFit became his primary focus, and he's never looked back.

In 2013, Chris obtained his CF-L1 certification and opened a CrossFit affiliate, CrossFit Kenko. That same year, Chris was diagnosed with a Chiari malformation, which resulted in brain surgery and a 12-month bedridden recovery. The year without training or proper nutrition put Chris back to square one. However, this was only a minor setback, and Chris came back fitter than he was before surgery. This journey gave Chris a deep appreciation of the challenges that come with starting a new lifestyle.

Fast forward 10 years, and Chris is now a CCFT (CrossFit Level 3 coach) and is still running CrossFit Kenko with multiple successful competitive athletes. He has also obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition Science.

It is this combination of 10 years of knowledge and experience coaching CrossFit, along with Chris’s own struggles after brain surgery, that provides a potent recipe (pun intended) to help others succeed in achieving their goals, whether that be fat loss, muscle gain, general health, or performance!
