“Ben and I began working together 18 months ago at a point where I realised I had lost my way with what it meant to have a healthy relationship with food. I've been working in the fitness space for over 10 years so it wasn't necessarily that I didn't "know" what to eat, I was missing a very integral part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle - motivation and accountability.
Once we dialed that aspect in we began focussing on specific competition preparation, including the 2019/2020 CanWest Games and the 2020 Okanagan Throwdown.
Ben's passion for fitness and nutrition was the perfect ammunition I needed in my preparation for these competitions. Our weekly check ins ensured I was staying on track and accountable as well as a great chance to just hang out and talk shop all things CrossFit - trust me, a good relationship with your Coach is important here!
Most importantly, Ben was able to reel me back in and keep me level headed when I was getting overwhelmed by the shift of the world due to COVID.
